This has not been officially communicated to all staff but thanks to an anonymous submission, we have confirmed with our friends in the forest that John Sullivan will be leaving Sensis. Rumour has it he resigned on Mon 31 Jan 2011. However a number of postings to Sensis Watch have confirmed that John was handed his ‘walking papers’ just prior to Christmas. It is unclear why John has waited until January to inform staff that he will be leaving Sensis after a 3 month notice period.
John has been at Sensis for five years and has been instrumental in rolling out agile methodology across online.
Sources have informed us that there has been a falling out with the CIO (Grainne) that has been deteriorating over the last 12 months. This has culminated with John being passed over for a number of positions including CIO, sideways move to other GM roles, for having to report to a “corrupt CIO who knows nothing about IT and is permanently working from home” and for providing recommendations to the executive, who to your face agree to implement what is discussed and then “the next day do exactly the opposite”. Feedback from Grainne DR’s indicate that she is extremely difficult to work for and has no vision on the direction of IT for Sensis.
The question on everyone’s lips is will Grainne (CIO) appoint another Amdocs employee in return for her European kickback? What kick back you ask, well read on.
Praise the heavens another useless person is handed their walking papers.
Agile methodology your joking right
